I was about 2/3 mile from where I parked, hiked back out in the fading twilight and the slightly spooky sounds of critters in the woods.

August 31, 2009: Lodi, Wisconsin
I noticed the sky conditions as I worked during the afternoon were shaping up for a possible spectacular sunset. After finishing wirk for the day I grabbed my gear and returned to the Ice Age Trail south of Lodi to the location I was at in the previous entry. I was hoping before that the sun would set in the valley, but I misjudged the angle of the scene. Still was a nice sunset, almost as good as I hoped to see.
